Not sure on this - but Johnny Architect is nipping over to look at the extension plans next week and my wallet is sweating.

 

Im 99% sure this is the second time I’ve owned this bass: they’re phenomenal.

 

Desert gold, light weight (9lbs ish) and plays…well, not much effort required.

 

It’s a 2004/5 - is showing some of its age - little nicks and the satin neck is shinier around frets 1-7.

 

But it’s stunning.

 

The typical little mark on the headstock (so many bongos get it) - but everything else is a stare at it for 10 minutes and spot it kind of thing.

no case - so need to sort something.

I know the feeling, the wife's kitchen 'enhancements' cost me a Rickenbacker and she now has eyes on my Status S2 CW......I feel your pain.

Excellent basses, these Bongos. I have a 2003 HS 5-string in the same Desert Gold finish. As you pointed out, these are absolutely amazing things, and so easy to play - it's truly effortless, it almost plays itself! 🥰

 

 

 Anyway, I'm off to convince myself that I don't need a matching 4-string Bongo! GLWTS! 🙂

Amazing basses! I miss my Stealth. I always thought the desert gold and tangerine colours would look epic with black tuners and bridge. Glwts

Just weighed this and it’s actually 9.4lbs - really surprised as it feels much lighter. 

 

also weighed the stingrays and got muddled.
