BassAdder60 Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 Just swopped the stock pickups to Dimarzio P pickups The difference was noticeable 1: Higher output pickup ( a lot ) 2: Better mids 3: growly tone Really simple swop and with adjustable pole pieces you can tweek things further A nice improvement I think Quote
SurroundedByManatees Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 I actually think the stock pickup sounds pretty good on my CV 70s, with enough growl and deep warm clarity. Overall I think it's a really great bass. I only swapped the tuners for Schallers. Quote
Lozz196 Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 A good match methinks, Dimarzios were the upgrade in the 70s from what I understand. Quote

Not a lot of reviews about for them, I like a bright aggressive tone with p basses and always wondered if these would be the magic bullet Quote
BassAdder60 Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 Popped new strings on and I’m liking the Dimarzio P a lot .. sounds very punchy and articulate Quote

Great products and fantastic customer service. I’ve been using their pickups in various instruments since the ‘70s. They’re always on my list of pickups to check out when I’m in the market. Glad the above are working out for you, they look tasty too. Quote
