Had the last rehearsal last night before our 10th anniversary gig this Saturday! A night of classic British '76-'82 punk covers, plus it's the singers birthday the following day. What could POSSIBLY go wrong........🥸🥸

The next gig for Hurtsfall is on Friday 25th April in Whitby at The Cove with Westenra and Social Youth Cult as part of the Whitby Goth Weekend.

Normally I wouldn't be announcing this quite so early, but I believe that tickets are close to selling out, and there will be no admission on the night without a ticket.

For the same event last October by the weekend of the gigs there were no tickets left, so if anyone is planning on attending the WGW and would like to see us play I suggest that you get tickets now.

Is it the 90s again?  Don't make me go through all that palaver once more :(

This Thursday, 10th April, I'll be playing at The Bedford in Balham with a singer songwriter called Andrew Maxwell Morris. He is an singer, songwriter and film and television composer and has composed music for Cavendish and EMI Production Music which has been placed across the ITV channels, Channel 4 and Sky Sports. He saw me play with my main band a few weeks ago and asked if I would be willing to play bass for him. We've had two rehearsals and its all sounding rather good so looking forward to my first gig with him as well as playing at The Bedford which I hear is quite a good venue.

Another month, another gig 😂

The joys of being in a band that plays originals is you get the weekends off as well as the rest of the week!

We're playing the Alderbury Social Club this Saturday, our 2nd gig of the year so we shouldn't be that rusty.

Oh, and our drummer Darrell is on before us...hope people don't get bored of a 45min drum solo 😄

I don't get this. I play originals and my band could be out almost every weekend if we took everything that was offered and our synth player didn't have family commitments. As it is we have at least two gigs a month for the next 4 months. In between gigs we are writing and rehearsing new songs or recording for our album.

I'll be playing two gigs in one day with my band SHREDS.

I always thought people were crazy to play two shows in one day, and I'd seen quite a few mates do this!

However, we were offered a slot to open for the legendary NYC hardcore band AGNOSTIC FRONT and simply couldn't pass!

We'll be playing Sheffield in the late afternoon (at the Phazed Out Festival) on May 3rd, and then hotfooting it up to Leeds to play a second show that same evening!

Gosh! Felis Leo gigs are suddenly like buses...full of people and moving? ...no, turning up every two weeks 😄

We're playing again in the 'burbs of smallsbury, this time both our supports are the drummer's other bands!

One of our guitarists is in a covers band which means we're fighting against the fact that he's booked up months in advance (after a lil' pushback he has now asked them not to book so many gigs).

There's not many opportunities for an originals band in Salisbury especially when the main pub for bands won't even return your calls, emails, messages.

We're a bit lazy 😂, we should be trying Southampton, Winchester, Bournemouth and Swindon but we're in our 50s and too old for this lark!

It's great fun though, I love it 😃

First night-time gig since before the New Year. We did a Sunday afternoon gig two weeks ago in a place that is usually a rock/blues venue (Girdwoods for the Scottish cental belt BCr's) but are trying different things on a Sunday. It was a great response from the punters and we have been re-booked for a date in December.  About to unleash Americana/Country upon a social club formally attached to the Fairfields shipyard in Govan, Glasgow. I played this venue every few months, on rotation back in the 80's , when things were economically a lot different. A brilliant place back then and I'm hoping the sons and daughters (and maybe some of the Auld Yins [old ones])from back in the day might show up! There is a HUGE age variation in the band so I'll leave it up to the viewer to figure out the old and the young! (BTW for the ocularly challenged the last two on the left with a 38 year difference!).
