Basschatters' Upcoming Gigs

My band, Aimless Arrows, have stepped in to replace one of the acts who couldn't make it to this. Some talented people in one of our favourite venues, what's not to like?

I’ve got a couple of gigs coming up with Stray on 5/6 October. On the 5th we’re headlining Cornwall Rocks at Tencreek Holiday Park in Looe, then the following morning we’ll be trucking over to Chelmsford’s Hot Box Live. Doors at 3pm for this one but may not be on until five ish depending on the journey.

Next Saturday Hurtsfall will be playing as part of the Oxjam Beeston festival:

 

 

We're down as playing The White Lion at 6.00pm but given that's it's outside (albeit under cover), we're a band with a lot of technology, and the current forecast is for rain, that might change.

 

On the plus side we should have a load of shiny new merch to sell, including one item that won't be on-line and only available from us at gigs.

The Detours, next Saturday, at a venue in Dundee. Oh, hang on, what do you mean we didn’t confirm? It appears that apparently the message didn’t come through that we’d accepted and they booked someone else 😤. Hmm 🤔. Oh well, weekend off and the venue potentially feeling that they owe us a favour🤞.

A reminder for anyone on here in the Nottingham/Beeston area that Hurtsfall will be playing Oxjam Beeston on Saturday. More than 100 acts spread out over 17 venues from midday to midnight all for £10 (and it's free to get into any of the venues before 6) all proceeds going to a good cause.

 

We will be performing at The White Lion at 6.00. Apparently the gig is in an outdoors space but under cover for both the band and the audience, which is just as well as there is still a 40% chance of rain. We will also have shiny new merch on sale in the form of two new T-shirt designs and a limited edition CD of our forthcoming single, including an exclusive new version of "Calling Out" which will only be available at gigs.

I'll be depping on bass with the Lee Aaron Band (not the Canadian melodic rock goddess) at The Royal Oak, Alton on Friday and The Station, Fleet on Saturday.

Been sulking as the guitarist from our blues band is also in an indie band that are taking off. He's just cancelled one of our local gigs so they can play Capital FM's big switch on. Plus they are supporting Cardinal Black at the Tramshed in February, Cardiff's most awesome venue.

So imagine my joy to find out we've been booked to play the Cardiff Liverpool Supporters Club Christmas Party at the Tramshed this December (they have five thousand members, although they won't all turn up). Going to be riotous...

Edit: More good news, the venue hire (we aren't paying for it) a full pro PA and lights with operators 🙂

Current forecast is for no rain and maybe even some sun, which is a relief for a band with more than a bit of technology involved in our performance!

My lad and Grand little lurks live very adjacent , would have dragged them down but I’m gutted that I will be away for a 50th wedding anniversary. 
I constantly follow this thread to catch some BCers gigs , but it’s not that often I can get to them 🤦‍♂️

Next Hurtsfall gig is in Nottingham on Thursday 10th October at The Chapel above The Angel Microbrewery supporting Byronic Sex & Exile.

 

Also playing will be Jan Doyle Band in full goth mode.

I’ve been to a few , and had a couple lined up in Nottingham at one point …..and shit got in the way 😂

The next Hurtsfall gig is on 5th November opening for the brilliant Aurelio Voltaire with Lesbian Bed Death also playing. 

 

 

Normally I'd post this up about a week before the gig, but we've been informed that there are only a small number of tickets left so if you would like to go to this you need to get them now. 

 

Should be a great gig although based on my experiences of previously sold out gigs at The Chapel getting the gear off the stage and into the dressing room after we have played will be challenging!
