I’ve had mine for over a year now & it’s honestly been great.
Completely reliable & no problems whatsoever.

It’s one of them amps that has massive amounts of real weight behind its sound too. A true power house !!

I tried the ABM 750 and at the time owned the 600

I couldn’t really hear any difference between the two if I’m honest, certainly not to justify the price.

I think they should have added more features because to me it was really a black ABM600 with two VDU’s and a marginal increase in watts .. I didn’t get it sorry !

NAD!

Had one on order with PMT which got delayed until mid May... so I cancelled it and bought the one off eBay for the incredibly reasonable price of 825 posted, with hot covers bag, original box... seems barely used and the seller seemed lovely, genuine and responsive.

I've not used it much today, and I've only got a little room to try it in, but I'm pleased so far! Love the looks of it, and the sound is so nice, but also so easily manipulated. I can sound gritty and punchy, or fat and smooth, with a few easy alterations. I think this'll be a real workhorse of an amp for me, fingers crossed.

Build quality appears to be incredibly good too, almost tank-like.

Did I say it looks banging? It does.

All I see is the same old, same old stuff that manufacturers have been marketing for decades. The tone, full of distortion, is what I spent years trying to get away from! :(

That said I do like how they actually look. Are the speakers referred to as HH the same manufacturer as the old IC100 range of amplifiers?

Nice amps and I still believe it’s very close to the ABM600 but looks nicer in black

Has been really interesting reading through this thread, glad I found it. I'm at the point of pulling the trigger on one to be honest. I have a couple of questions that I'm hoping you folks can help me with as I'm still not sure of the answers despite having read through the Ashdown website about a dozen times.

1. Is the ABM Evo V 750 rack mountable or is there a bag available to store/carry it in? My preference would be to have it in a rack case if possible but I'll go with a bag if it's not rack mountable.

2. I've never experienced the notched controls that a couple of you mentioned in the earlier posts but they sound awful to me. Does the amp still come stock with the notched controls or are they doing normal smooth controls now that we are a couple of years into the amps being available?

Thanks for any help you can give

It could be rackmountable, I guess Ashdown would have to make a lid and ears for it though, its mounted in a wooden sleeve like most of their heads.

I got a cover for it from https://www.hotcovers.co.uk/ its solid and keeps it safe.

The notched controls aren't too bad, you could probably ask Ashdown to change them if you're buying direct
