Bass was manufactured in Mexico.

I have the sunburst roadworn model and they are truly wonderful to play. If you are even semi interested/curious, do some research and buy one - they really are some of the best Mexican Fenders ever made

Mine is. I haven’t weighed it, but it weighs less than my Precision, and that weighs less than 9 lbs.

 

They may not all be created equal though, I had a road worn telecaster which I sold because it was too heavy.

Mine certainly was - it was just a shade under 4kg - which is indeed lightweight for a Jazz (lightest that I ever owned, played or tried out)
As mentioned above though - they may vary, depending on when they were made / which batch etc

I only sold mine in an effort to reduce the number of basses I owned at the time. There are times when I wish I hadn't sold it, and if I needed a Jazz.... A Roadworn would be my first choice
