I love the Yamaha BBG headstocks , both four and five string. Plus, I feel the grubby corroded gold lends a certain worldly cachet.

IMO it's restrained and about as close to being economically and proportionally perfect as possible. 

 

I certainly prefer it to the more "distinctive" version that's on the G1 guitar.
