RaNoFuNkY
Hi All - what sort of options are there for medium scale, roundwound steel strings. I see plenty for flatwound, or roundwound nickel (like D'addario). But not for roundwound steel. Note - my bass is short scale, but typically takes medium scale D'addario Nickels for best fit. I can't see that they do this scale length for their ProSteels though? Thanks Edited June 15, 2022 by RaNoFuNkY
velvetkevorkian
Newtone should be able to wind you some to fit.
BigRedX
Netwone will do you a set to any scale length and any gauge.

fretmeister
If it will fit through the tuning head then use whatever you like. Medium scale steels Warwick Black Label are available as medium scale La Bella RX used to be medium but they are no longer on the site. But some places might have stock GHS Super Steels have a medium scale set Rotosound Swing Stainless steel
BigRedX
Just had another look at the OP. If your bass is short scale but needs longer strings for the additional length after the nut/bridge, ask for Newtone for a set based on their Axiom Bass VI strings but without the high B and E (although it might be quicker and still as cheap to just buy the Axiom set).
