I've decided to move this along.  I bought this as a project last year and bought it back to life; I've included a link to the pages that covered the journey.

 

Just one thing, the pickups are Warman units, they work fine, but they're just wired into the switch and into the chrome volume knob just below the J-pickup.  It works fine - it's easy enough to pull the guts and put an active circuit in.   Dunlop straplocks (I'll provide the strap-side bits).

 

Not interested in trades, sorry.

Hey, my first reply on here! Really interested in roadstar basses. Do you know are the rest of the electronics still working if one did want to wire it up more like the original way?

Roadstars and Roadsters are maybe on the heavy side on weight but very convincing, quality instruments. I wonder why these aren't more popular. Current price sounds like a steal. Good luck etc.
