I’m struggling to get a good slap sound. Any ideas?

Going by some members comments on having the same flat wound strings on for years I reckon this is quite normal for some.

It's ok Your slap - no. You can live without it. I play fretless with a ramp from to my soupbar pickup and have no chance for slap. Actualy i never loved or learned slap.
