BassAgent
I thought my collection was complete. Well, I always had GAS for a vintage Gibson EB-2 but they were way out of my budget. And then I found one online here in NL, for a decent price. Non-original knobs and switch (pots are original), non-original truss rod cover and a non-original case. But boy is this bass amazing. So happy. Edited July 13, 2022 by BassAgent
Grahambythesea
Like you I hankered for one of these. I found one at a reasonable price bought and played it for a couple of years but was disappointed with it. It got traded. I hope you enjoy it more than I did. Bunion
Looks great and if it sounds great the rest doesn’t matter 🍻
uk_lefty
Absolutely gorgeous!!! It took me long enough to get a lefty Jack Casady bass so I'll be sticking with that, but whenever I see one of these I get the GAS. I also realised recently that I've moved from having mostly Fender basses and guitars I've somehow got a bit of a Gibson derived bass and guitar collection: Epiphone Casino electric guitar, Epiphone Jack Casady bass, Kramer (after the Gibson buy out) fretless bass... I might have to chase down some kind of EB2 or Grabber now!
Eldon Tyrell
Let's see what Gibson releases for the 60th anniversary of the T'bird next year . Hope it is better than what they came up with for the 50th though 😞
BassAgent
I was wondering if anyone knows about a gig bag that'll fit. I really don't like hard cases, sooooo which gig bag would fit?
Rick's Fine '52
Congrats, nice bass. This is one of the few true GAS inducing basses that I’ve not yet owned over many years of playing and collecting vintage basses. One day though, it’s finding the right one, sounds like you’ve got a nice one, certainly looks great, love the burst shading on it, looks perfect! Good find! meterman
Oh wow 😮 I remember one of these coming in the shop I worked in, maybe 10 or 12 years ago. It had black nylon tapewound strings on it and it sounded immense. Unsurprisingly it sold within 48 hours. Congratulations! Yours looks superb 👍

Ups, just realised that I had posted in the wrong thread. Must have been the heat 😉 Thought this was the thread discussing the new Gibson Rex Brown signature Tbird bass. I am very sorry for accidentally hijacking this thread and yes, this vintage Gibson looks amazing. Congrats 👍
