Happy Jack
An occupational hazard when playing a decent car show is the never-ending drive-past / parade happening in front of the band. However, like the consummate professionals we are (oh alright then, semi-pro) we never missed a beat. 😉 The first Basschatter to correctly identify every vehicle that appears in this video will win The Square Root Of Bugger All. Downunderwonder
What was the little green saloon thing ahead of the lime VW van towards the end? Looked a bit like a Hillman Imp but not.

Nicko
How did you not get super excited by the metallic stinky poo brown Austin Allegro at 3.35?

A pedant writes: "I think that you will find that it is a Singer Chamois - the next model up from the Imp". A shame, because Pimp my Imp has a certain ring to it! However, not as good as the strap-line of the car club for owners of Mini-based Rileys, which referenced classic minis, Rileys, and the Italian Job theme song: "We are the Elf Preservation Society."
Happy Jack
I had forgotten the very existence of the Singer Chamois. Pretty soon, someone will start referencing Sunbeams and Simcas and then there'll be no coming back from that ...

At one point we owned two Ginetta G15s so I persuaded Mrs OBBM to have several Imps so that when they died (failed MOT) they became a good source of spares for the G15s. Unfortunately she did not appreciate the classic value and appeal of the Hilman Imp.😉
Linus27
Well I think the first white car is a Ford Mustang convertible, then I saw a dark blue Porsche 911 (996), a Lotus Elan in the red Sprint colour scheme, blue Merc convertible, orange Ford Mustang, white MG convertible, maybe a red Ferrari 355 although it looks like an MR2 with the Ferrari body kit, silver Dolorean, blue Escort mk1, turquoise Chevy, black Subaru Impreza WRX STi hatch, white Porsche 911, red Escort mk1, green MGB GT, red Mini, white Jaguaaaaaar, gold Capri, blue Mustang or possibly a Shelby Mustang, red MG Midget, grey Jaguaaaar F Type convertible, black Porsche 997, red Ford Mustang, grey Ford Mustang convertible, brown Austin Allegro, red Marco's maybe, red Jaguaaaar convertible, white Simitar maybe, red Lotus Elise S1 160, blue Merc, Orange Morgan maybe, burgundy Merc, yellow Triumph Stag convertible maybe or a Triumph TR6 convertible maybe, red Alfa I think, green Singer Chamois, blue VW camper, old black Jaguaaaar, old blue Jaguaaaar, green Porsche Cayman R, old grey Bentley or Rolls, white old Yank tank, grey old tank tank, green Bedford pickup maybe. sprocketflup
My old man had a succession of Imps as I was growing up, they were vomit inducing things being rear engined, with the motor (and more importantly exhaust) seemingly inside the bloody car. I played a little festival a couple of years back that had a small classic car rally, and there was an imp. I approached the owner and told him how I'd grown up with the things, then tentatively asked if I could smell the inside of his. (car, you perverts) He knew exactly where I was coming from and unlocked it so I could. Jeez that took me back
