I couldn't find anything specific for this bass, but it's pretty simple - 1 pickup, coil split on the push/pull for single coil operation, single passive tone.

One of Seymour Duncan's collection of general wiring diagrams might show that or at least give you some idea of what's in there?

Hi Guys,

I recon it’s a series / parallel pull push because there is no noticeable

drop in volume either in or out only a very slight increase in the highs.

Reason I require the schematic, is because I am going to remove the

volume and tone, and replace with a Glockenklang two band pre amp

to get rid of the MUDDY sound.

I just want a schematic

a) to see exactly what the pull / push does, and

b) the four conductor wires from the pickup are a different colour to

normal colour codes for Gibson pickups……… RED WHITE GREEN BLACK

A series/parallel would most likely have a significant effect on the volume (unless there's a compensating resistor in there somewhere) and the tone. Because you describe the changes as minimal, it is far more likely to be parallel/single.

Also the product blurb from Gibson for this product refer to "coil tap". I know they're not exactly the most reliable, but it can't be a series/parallel if it's a coil tap/split.

I've one of these basses too. It is great to play and probably worth spending on if the sounds available improve as a result. The stock pickup options are humbucker/single as far as I know, but there isn't a massive sound difference when you're strings are flats. I'd be interested to know if there are easy mods that can improve the sounds available, to upgrade this from a great bass to a 'first choice of the rack' for gigs.

Hi steve-bbb ,

Fantastic!

I had this about 10 years ago when I worked as a guitar tech (retired for last 8 years), somehow lost it, even in German its extremely useful.

Thanks for posting it.
