lownote
Got an LM3 which takes around 6 seconds to output sound from switch on. Anyone got anything on this? Is it normal? Nver had it on my old LM2. In all other respects the head is in excellent cosmetic and working condition. mybass
There is a delay from power/switching on to signal path open on MB amps but I’m not sure why it would differ between amps.
lownote
I have heard from Mark Bass himself. FYI, power up delays on the LM3 are normal up to 10 seconds. Anything over and you're in trouble. I thank you - and MB for an almost instant comeback.
Sibob
I guess it might have something to do with the digital power section on the LM3, where the LM2 was analogue. Si
Skezza
I have the combo head 2 and that has a 4 or 5 second delay to output sound from switch on.

fretmeister
All entirely normal. Part of the speaker protection system. I'm a big fan of the brand and over the years I've had LM2, LM3, F1, a couple of combos, the Goldline Marcus head, and now the AG1000. They all do it, by design.
