Newfoundfreedom Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 ....... I've had a few beers so, here goes! I must admit, sharing my music with the illustrious company on here is quite nerve wracking. I've always felt like a bit of an imposter. Having said that, I'm quite proud of this. Our first ever recording made in my home studio. Using two linked Zoom R16's for recording, then mixed and mastered by me using Studio One. It's been a hell of a learning curve, and I've been learning the whole sound engineering process as I go. But all in all, I think it came out OK. It's also or first ever official single release and it's available on all good streaming and download services. You can here it on one of the links below. https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/thepixieled/toy-town 2 Quote
Doctor J Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 Well done, she has a nice voice. Real drums, too? Now that you're up and running, you should give one of these a spin some month, good practice if nothing else 🙂 https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/466374-july-composition-challenge/?do=getNewComment 1 Quote

Real drums. The lead guitar, bass and drums were recorded in one live take. The singer is my wife, and backing vocals by our drummer. Quote
Tim Chapple Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 One you get the home recording bug, it's a difficult habit to break 1 Quote
