Fishman Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 About time I learned to do the stuff that I usually pay for, eg fret work Any recommendations welcome Thanks! Quote
itu Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 I might talk about a river in S America... but whatever. Buy a few: I love the short ones, which fit tight places. 1 Quote

I've just had a look on the Crimson website and they don't appear to do any bass scale-length versions. 1 Quote
bertbass Posted August 6, 2022 Posted August 6, 2022 Another option is to buy a straight edge like a metre rule and file notches in the relevant fret positions. 2 1 Quote
Bigguy2017 Posted August 6, 2022 Posted August 6, 2022 Thomann for the HB ones G&W - notched straight edge (guitarsandwoods.com) they're in Portugal but do ship to UK I have the Crimson ones for guitar and bass but they don't appear to have bass ones... maybe give them a call avoid the eBay cheapies - they are not straight! 1 Quote

Marty Forrer Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 I did the same, marked the frets on the rule then ground them out. Works a treat and cost me nothing as I already had the rule. 1 Quote
