Cab advice

Hi All,

 

I know about ohms and delivering full power from amp heads etc. But have would like some advice or thoughts on the below.

 

I have a 500 watt head and a 350 watt head plus a single 12" cab.

The heads are different makes.

 

My thinking is to add an extra cab to the 350 head or use the 500 watt head with the single cab. 

 

I play in a 4 piece soul/funk band.

I have recently been through similar questions.  I am open to demolishment by grown ups. But IMHE ( experience), more speakerage is hugely more important than more watts. The 500w head with one 8 ohm cab will be around 250w.  The 350w with two cabs will be 350w. Plus you get double the speakerage, which means far more oomphs. I thank you.  That will be 10 baht.

We've all been through this identical question.

When I added a 2nd cab to my 250w Trace the master never went above 2. Before that I sometimes had to max it out at 4.
