Rayman Posted August 13, 2022 Posted August 13, 2022 Pretty pleased with my latest ramps, made for an Aria Integra and a Yamaha TRB1005. I’ve always fitted ramps to my fivers, I just find them more comfortable to play. Black plastic, 8mm for the Yamaha, it took some work sanding off a couple of mil. The Aria has a matched piece of Ash, took a while to match the colour of the stain, but we got there or thereabouts. What do you reckon? 5 Quote
nilorius Posted August 13, 2022 Posted August 13, 2022 I like ramps, too. I got Ibanez GWB1005 originally made allready with a ramp. Very comfortable playing. 2 Quote
Rayman Posted August 13, 2022 Author Posted August 13, 2022 Yeah I had a GWB35 many years ago. Now I hate it when there’s a big gap under the strings. Quote
visog Posted August 13, 2022 Posted August 13, 2022 Bernie made me a ramp for my Goodfellow. Very comfortable... playing a bass without one now is like walking across a cattle-grid! 1 1 Quote

It's like imitation of Your pickups and let's You play teqniqaly at the place where Your pickups are not installed. It gives Your fingers to not dig too deep at playing over the ramp. Some like it, some hate - who cares. I like it. Edited August 13, 2022 by nilorius 1 Quote
