Didn’t Acoustic make a 4x15 cab? IIRC it was two rear and two front facing.

They did, yes. Two facing forward and two facing each other into a void in the middle. I realise that's a really confusing description but I'm tired.

Played a cool little outdoor gig for a friends wedding party on Saturday. Another outing for the Fusion 550 and BT2 combo. I can’t ever see me parting with this rig. My Spector Euro LX just sounds sublime through this amp and cab

Lovely local pub gig on Saturday. Good crowd and always well looked after by the pub staff. First gig with the Rootmaster setup and it was superb. Lightweight, powerful and cut through well. Got compliments from a drummer mate who was there and the brass section.8EE3D355-08D9-478B-A9C4-F3728AEB9A4B.thumb.jpeg.c2d32d87e73247c5f5a6ac59cd532372.jpeg

As any surplus gear moves on, the more adaptable and useable stuff that's keeper material begins to make more regular appearances. This Sunday's setup for an afternoon light duty gig was my regular Laney R210 4ohm cab used in landscape mode for the first time. Sounded fine and still very audible. Amp wise at present, its a toss up between the ABM and its backup OriginAL EVO. Both are more than sufficient for any gig, but the ABM just feels like effortless power, and quite capable of doing a low volume gig with a low power cab as long as I keep the master volume in check. A P-Bass is pretty much standard these days.

Lightweight cabs, heavy weight stereo head.

Let's make some noise.

Ooof.

I have a TE 2x8 and do fancy another to make a pair. I bet this rig sounds great.

Do it if you can. Stacked vertically they have a small footprint but the height really helps you hear yourself.

Slightly off-topic, but this morning Facebook reminded me that five years ago I played Mandolin through an Ampeg SVT...

You can`t hide your past from the mighty FB 🤣

Sigh - second week in a row of drummer being away and me having to play what someone on another thread called the "participation box". Insult to injury I have to sit next to my lovely but silent Trace - mind you I suppose at least we are making music albeit "going acoustic".

“acoustic” gig up in the wilds of Northumberland for me tonight, playing my NS NXT EUB through my Stanley Clarke preamp into the marvellous little TC Electronics BG250 208 combo that just seems to love the EUB, and it’s an easy carry too 😎
