xgsjx Posted September 1, 2022 Author Posted September 1, 2022 Cheers @Quatschmacher One ability that I’d like, is to be able to split the keys so I can play bass & pads when the other keys player is on clarinet. I currently play either lekky bass or synth bass (using controller & MacBook). I want a good keybed & plan on going to try all on the final shortlist. That’s a shame to hear about the Polybrute. My current NI S61 mk2 has a Fatar keybed & it’s a very nice keyboard to play (though it’s getting sold to fund a synth). I’ve looked at the Sledge before & it seemed cracking value, but it’s not really what I’m looking for. Quote

The PB keybed isn’t rubbish, it’s just noticeably lesser quality than the Fatar ones on Sequential. It’s probably on a par with the Summit’s keybed. I find them both too light, especially as I’m playing a lot of piano these days. Definitely worth trying them out. Had Polybrute come out a month sooner, I’d have probably got one; I’d been saving for a 5-octave poly (and didn’t gel with the Rev 2) and went with the Summit. Still tempted but it’d be overkill to have both I think. Real shame about the Prologue being hard to come by new as it’ll do most if not all of what you’re asking. There are a few on eBay at the moment. (Sledge 2.0 has split function and the black version has a better Fatar keybed than the yellow one.) Edited September 2, 2022 by Quatschmacher 1 1 Quote
