slystewart Posted August 28, 2022 Share Posted August 28, 2022 I have an Ampeg CL heritage that I’m using with two Ampeg PL. 4x 10 8 ohm cabs so that the amp works in four ohms it says at the manual for the amplifier that can only run in the 4 or 2 ohms so in some smaller venues it would be ideal just to use one cab so the understanding is this will be 8ohms is there is there any way to use one cab with this amp thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
James Nada Posted August 28, 2022 Share Posted August 28, 2022 (edited) Assuming the individual drivers are all 8 ohms you could rewire one of the cabs to be switchable between 8 and 2 ohms. Here's a diagram I've lifted from talkbass, just substitute 8ohms for 16ohms and 2 ohms for 4 ohms.
