I don’t know if everyone’s aware, but solo bassist, educator and all round nice guy Steve Lawson is currently undergoing treatment for cancer.

 

There’s a benefit concert for him taking place in California later today, featuring some absolutely stunning musicians, including Michael Manring.

Had a lesson with Steve many moons ago and it was great. I hope him a very speedy recovery. He has said previously that his treatment is on the NHS and the best way to support him is to buy his music
