teaser360
I bought a squire classic vibes of bass chat a little while back, i have a couple of issues with it, firstly the nut has been modified to get the action lower, unfortunatley its too low for my liking, can anyone recommend a replacement after market one or where i could get one? secondly i have a dodgy volume pot, same thing can anyone recommend a replacement and where to get a pair, is it also best to stick with the std 250k or put 500k pots in? i will be keeping the std pick ups
Mr. Foxen
If the nut is detatchable, might be able to just put a plastic shim under it, much less hassle. Dodgy volume pot might be cured by switch cleaner and a nut tightening
7string
Have a look at Stewart Macdonald in the States www.stewmac.com There's a slotted Tusq nut to replace the plastic one you have (item code 4753 but have a look around at other material) and a P Bass wiring kit with new pots (item code - 0139). Been getting supplies from Stewmac for years now and always great service.
