Bassist looking to join or form band - Bucks/MK/Oxon/South Northants

Looking to join or form a band after a few years hiatus (had 3 young kids...). Prefer the funkier side of things. Prefer funk like Lettuce, jazz like Wayne Krantz/Tim miler, acid jazz like Incognito/Jamiroquai, r&b/Gospel like Kirk Franklin, soul like  Motown like...Motown, Latin like Irakere or world/African music like Bassekou Kouyate & Ngoni ba but open to seeing what's out there. 

 

I've been playing on and off for 28 years. Did a few years of jazz at a conservatoire many years ago (don't hold it against me). Taught bass. Played in original and cover bands before. Good equipment.

 

To set expectations in terms of commitment I really want to get playing in a band again but around family and work being realistic, that's an evening a week rehearsing and maybe a gig or two a month or so at weekends. I just can't do gigs every weekend, although I'd like to
