Marshall 30 watt combo - Gone!

This is a Marshall 30 watt combo. It powers up but when you plug in an instrument it just buzzes.

 

I’d love to fix it but who am I kidding, it won’t happen.

I had the same model a few years ago, it lasted 10 years, turned it on one day and nothing, just silence. Sad because it was a great little amp.

Does it work with headphones? Just asking…might a quick cheap fix as they’re a basic 10” driver?

Good question! I’ll check. Most amp techs here will charge you £40 to take a look, so not really worth it. But if someone knows what they’re doing, it could be?

I've one of these... another worthwhile check is the effects loop, see if the return works....

Would love the grill for a custom paint jobbie, but too far.

Hopefull it will be of use, even as a 1x10 cab?

Ahh. The effects loop thing worked! So the amp is fine, it’s just the jack socket (or the preamp).
