Hi,
I bought a Dean Edge recently, haven't had much time to muck about on it but noticed yesterday that when I fretted 4th string at the 5th fret and lifted my finger - the harmonics rang out.
Anyone know how to correct this.

Cheers

Not trying to be clever but isn't that where a harmonic is?
If you don't want them then don't play them, it could be due to the new strings and you not being used to the neck as well. You could also try muting with your other l/h fingers too....

Usually liftiing my finger to play an open string is enough to mute the string but I think your right about having to mute anyway.

cheers for the reply
