fretmeister
I recently bought a bass that already had the East J-Retro Deluxe installed and I love it. As it happens I love it much more than the EMG BQC I have in a different bass that also has EMG J pickups. Can I install an East preamp into that bass with the EMG J pickups? Or would the pot values need changing making the whole thing a massive faff? ta
Jean-Luc Pickguard
It can definitely be done. I'm sure John will be able to advise you about this: [email protected]
gafbass02
I did it long ago with no issues. They shared a battery.

Chopthebass
I asked John the exact same question. No need to change pots. He said it’ll be fine. Just no passive mode

lee650
Yes, I had a Spector CR5FM years ago which had EMG DC and the East U retro deluxe, but the passive tone didn't work.
