Played for over 40 years but only ever used a Boss Compression Sustainer CS-1 and then rarely because I am too lazy to set up! Retired now so playing around with the Zoom B3n. Dumb question(s)

1. What is the output jack marked "R" used for?

2. What is the "Control In" jack used for?

3. My amp has it's own Graphic Equalizer so if using a patch that also has an equalizer should I turn one off?

4. If my amp already has a function that is included in a B3n patch i.e. noisegate should I turn one off?

Thankyou.

I'll answer the 2 quick questions.

1. R is the right output for stereo

2. Control in is for an expression pedal to control parameters of certain effects.

3 - depends. Obviously if you boost the same frequency twice you will have twice the boost on that frequency and that might mess things up a bit.

4 - Generally I would have a noisegate near the start or at the end, but not both.
