BCH Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 HELP...We had an issue @ a theatre gig...any ideas??????????????? Our guitarist used a 70's strat & Tele the pickups, picked up a pulsing 4Khz signal, sounding like a cricket! We isolated mains, guitar, no hearing loop, or modem, phones, lights, wireless for iPad, no backline or monitors etc. I tried a passive p/u bass, same issue. Anybody had this experience Quote

Johannes Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 Most likely it is caused by venue’s induction loop. Common problem with single-coil pickups. Quote
Johannes Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 Sometimes the local staff present dont know about the existence of the loop. I’ve seen it happen. Quote

Dad3353 Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 If in a rural location, an electric fence might be the source of such interference. It's the case at our cottage; the car picks it up when tuned to Radio 4 long wave, too. 1 1 Quote
