andyaber
Owned and played a few Ibanez SR basses and love the necks. Played one gio bass a few years ago and the neck didn't feel as slim and smooth. Thinking of getting a 32" scale SRMD and wondering if the neck is as nice as the 34" scale SR basses? Anyone out there with experience of both? Cheers, Andy.
PaulThePlug
SR's are 38mm... Gio's are 41mm with the Gio a mm deeper... Measurements and Spec here.. https://www.ibanez.com/eu/products/category/electric_basses/ SRMD looks to be more like the SR than Gio... Love the Ibby necks, have 2x Gio 200 andca SR600
sykilz
I have the SRMD and it's very similar to the SR I had a few years ago, (it needed a little smoothing with one of those washing up sponge things from new to make it super smooth) it's a lovely playing and feeling neck IMO. Not got any glossy lacquer on it either which I like.
