Lozz196
Would have been when I played on a few songs in the Christmas play for the school orchestra, no idea what they were tho as never heard them since.

Chezz55
........... a long time ago - 1968/9 at St Charles' Hall, Clacton-on-Sea. Song was probably 'Flames' by Elmer Gantry's Velvet Opera or 'Johnny B Goode'.
Fishfacefour
Give it away. It was a form a band in a day workshop event thing. I was a guitar player but roped in to bass as there was another guitar player too. By the end of the day my fingers were completely shredded from the slides. Loved it!

Dad3353
(I'm A Little...) Apple Tree Warbler, with the Martin Spicer Band, using my Hofner President guitar as a bass, late '60s.
Hobbayne
Pretty Green by The Jam. That only had one note for the first few bars. This was quickly followed by Tomorrow never Knows, by The Beatles. That also only had er.... one note
Nail Soup
With musicians (plural) it would have been something my first band wrote ourselves… good chance based on one of my own bass lines. with one musician (using the term loosely as we were both learning together) it would have been with my mate and have been a classic walking bass line from a “teach yourself” book. First cover was maybe Blitzkreig Bop. Edited September 19, 2022 by Nail Soup

Velarian
Probably “Sometimes” by the Stranglers. I’m hoping to verify this soon because apparently our drummer has a cassette recording of our first gig, albeit very poor quality. If he can find it I’ll take a digital copy of it. BigRedX
Something I'd written myself. The first band I played in were pretty well established by the time I switched from guitar to bass as my main instrument.
