Sourcing an EMG pickup

I am pulling together the bits for my next bass (Phoenix), I was hoping to use an EMG MM5TW or EMG 40TWX, but I'm struggling to find anywhere that can supply one.

 

Any suggestions?

 

Does anyone have experience of ordering directly on the US EMG website?

No, but have bought on eBay from a US dealer: https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/donttellthewifeguitars

All good, though exchange rate was marginally better at the time.

I've purchased a couple of sets of EMG pickups from Dont Tell The Wife Guitars via ebay, the transactions went smoothly and the parcels cleared customs without charges. I also found if you watch an item you may get an offer of a small discount.

 

Thomann have the 40TWX due in stock in a couple of weeks, but the MM5TW isn't due for several months.

GAK in brighton lists the MMT5TW as avaialble to order, might be your best bet

Tried them. After speaking with their supplier they said it could take months!

I had the same issue @Smanth - ended up cancelling the order for a MM5TW after a 4 month wait and going for a 40CS instead, which I'm quite happy with

I am particularly keen on the dual coil switching system.  I’ve found a used set but we have yet to figure out a viable shipping approach.
