stewblack Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Ah, the nostalgia! Back in the day I gigged all over the country with one of these. Absolute belter of a combo. Good luck with your sale. 4 1
TheGreek Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 I sold one of these recently. Amazing Amps...if you don't need to move them they're everything you could ever want. I maintain that gear hasn't got better...it's just got lighter. GLWTS 3 1
paul_5 Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 I gigged up and down the country with the equivalent (same head and cab as separates) for years. Great compact rig! 1

JoeEvans Posted September 29, 2022 Author Posted September 29, 2022 Nice to see so much love for the old warhorse, thanks guys! I'm fond of it myself and if I was going to be gigging in a loud band I'd keep it for sure, the sound comes out in solid slabs... 2
JoeEvans Posted October 20, 2022 Author Posted October 20, 2022 £120 for this classic slab of trouser-flapping power, any takers?
Downunderwonder Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 Far out, that's the biggest 'giveaway' deal ever seen. 3
Davy Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 This is the second bargain priced combo that's come up for sale in this corner of the country in recent weeks. I lost out on the last one due to distance and will miss out on this for the same reason. 😭

People are crisscrossing the UK all the time so it usually only takes a couple of hand overs before it's in your neck of the woods.

I did try posting something on here recently for another amp but didn't get any takers and the amp sold in the meantime. Maybe I put my request in the wrong section, is there a particular thread I could post on?

JoeEvans Posted January 9, 2023 Author Posted January 9, 2023 Still trying to shift this bargainacious brute, anyone interested? I reckon I could find a way to ship it if anyone wanted it, maybe put it on a half pallet? Or I'd drive an hour or two and meet you. Just keen to move it on to someone who will use it!
Davy Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 I can't believe there's no-one within an hour of Bristol willing to take this off you! Just out of interest, are the side handles fixed recessed or are they the flip out ones? I hope you get a sale soon as this deserves to be used. 1

When I last shipped a Trace Elliot combo I covered the grill / controls with a hefty piece of cardboard then wrapped the whole package in more cardboard. Remember to write the weight on the box so anybody handling it knows it's heavy. Not that expensive to courier. 1
JoeEvans Posted January 9, 2023 Author Posted January 9, 2023 It also occurred to me that I could make cut-outs in the sides of the package so that it could be lifted by its own handles, which would make the courier's life much easier... 1
TheGreek Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 Yep, I do that too. Tape round the handles in another colour to highlight them. 1
drlargepants Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 I used to rehearse in an old nuclear bunker that had one of these. Loved it (and the bunker!) 1
WHUFC BASS Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 I love these Series 6 Trace Elliot amps. This is an absolute steal and I'm surprised that this is still here. GLWTS
tom1946 Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 I have one, it lives in our church. Amazing things for the loot. 2
JoeEvans Posted March 13, 2023 Author Posted March 13, 2023 The amp is now packaged up ready to post and I've found a company who will deliver it for £20, so you can have this lovely beast for £140 including postage! 2
JoeEvans Posted March 21, 2023 Author Posted March 21, 2023 This thing is seriously interfering with the Feng Shui in my living room, so please do make me an offer if you want a chunky slab of trouser-flapping goodness in your life. £120 posted, anyone?
Newfoundfreedom Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 If I was in the UK I'd be all over this, even though I don't need it and it would break my back moving it. I can't believe no one's taken your arm off yet at that price. 1
