That’s nice. (I’ve also had the melting pickup foam on my Fender from 1970. Think it just deteriorates but easy enough to get new foam in there.)

I had the melted foam as well under the pick-ups of my ‘75 Jazz Bass. Googled the situation, could’t find anything about it and now i see it here. Does anybody know what causes this?
