Folkesy Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 Got this one a few weeks ago but have just had some Vintage Pure 64 Pickups fitted into it that I picked up on eBay (after loving them so much in the flea jazz). The bass is very light at 8lbs 3oz and after a good setup, this bass is brilliant for the price paid £289. If you are looking at the Squier classic vibe series, I can highly recommend. 4 Quote
MungoBass Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 I recently had a Squier 50s P and was very impressed with the build quality and sound. Your bass looks a beauty and at £289, an absolute bargain. Enjoy! 1 Quote
Grahambythesea Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 Nice. You better add that to the blue bass thread. 1 Quote

fender73 Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 My Squier CV Jazz has been my go to gigging bass for round 10 years. Great build quality and never let me down. Great pieces of kit. Cheers Graeme 1 Quote
Vin Venal Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 If they were all 8lbs 3oz, I'd have one by now. Think you got lucky there, most of the ones I've looked at have been 9lbs plus. Looks lovely in that colour. Enjoy! Quote
msb Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 The Classic Vibe Series are upper end Squiers , they cost a bit more , but they are built to a higher standard. Quote
horrorshowbass Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 GAS attack. Was worried the laurel would be too bland but looks like its nice and dark Quote
Buddster Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 (edited) That's a nice looking bass. Glad to hear it's a good one. I bought a CV 70s version. Mine weighs in at 11lb, trying to get the action below 4mm caused serious fret buzz needing a lot of fret leveling and had to shim the neck and flatten the underside of the bridge saddles. However, now all the work has been done I do enjoy playing it and it's my gigging bass. At least it was a good learning curve! Edited October 28, 2022 by Buddster Quote
