BassMunkee
Ah group hug. As Dood says - you have to read the manual and UNDERSTAND how the kit works before you start using it. I still feel that you would not be able to tell the difference between a DECENTLY SET UP POD PATCH and a DECENTLY SET UP equivalent "actual" rig, but there you go. The fact of the matter is is that I have swallowed the manual, I do know exactly what I like and what I want from the kit, and should I choose I have a boutique music shop's worth of amps cabs and pedals at my disposal, all perfectly modelled and contrallable via USB - personally having made the jump, I'll stick with that and you can keep your hardware! A valve amp would win this no problem, it could just fall on the pod!! I reckon I could beat you up though ARGH. Easy as pie.
Mmm.. someone mention PIE? Inbetween the possible falling out and making up, isn't this just the fun of gear? If there really was one perfect setup we'd all be after it and unhappy 'til we got it. As it is each one of us has something slightly different we either like or are striving for. I LOVE IT!

ben604
er, sorry to hijack the thread but will any power amp work with a POD/Bass VT front end? Are there specific bass power amps? I've just got a 900w 6x10 @ 4-ohms, could anyone suggest a suitable amp? Cheers, Ben!

alexclaber
The POD can drive every power amp I know of to full volume, as can the V-bass. Not sure about other non-standard modellers/preamps. Alex
