mikeh Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Now I know some people hate 'Testing the water' threads!!! Well here we go. I love the fact the Epi is a one lift, loud as anything and puts out what you put in, BUT I find myself missing 12" speakers. So does any one have a pair of Epi UL112s to trade for this Epi UL310.
mikeh Posted August 22, 2007 Author Posted August 22, 2007 oops wrong forum, can a mod move this please??
Rumble Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Is this a 4Ohm cab? Are you not interested in a cash sale? (and last question..!) What is it about the 12's you miss so much?
mikeh Posted August 23, 2007 Author Posted August 23, 2007 ITs labelled as 4ohm but they're a 5.3 ohm cab. If the right cab/cabs where up for sale I'd consider a cash sale, already had quite a few asks about this. Im wainting to see how a certain GK 212 sounds!!
What is it about the 12's you miss so much
The last 3 cabs I've had have all had 12" speakers and I just prefer the natural sound. YOu dont seem to lose the snap of 10" but theres a better low end.

mikeh Posted August 27, 2007 Author Posted August 27, 2007 Right I've been told not to sell this, so WITHDRAWN
Bigwan Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 I was told not to sell my ABM combo by her-indoors last week. I almost fell of my chair...
kjb Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 I don't think I'd sell mine either, it's a fantastic cab. I have an epi 112 as well for smaller gigs, it's a good cab, probably the best small cab I've tried, but it doesn't have the low end response of the 3x10, and I don't think that two would sound the same as a 2x12. But I am thinking of adding another 1x12 to it, just to spread the sound a bit, if anyone has one they don't want.
