cheddatom Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 I'm on tour in Europe and our bassist has broken a string. He has no idea what strings he has. Can someone tell me what strings a 2017 American Pro Fender P is shipped with? If we can get the right gauge it should save us a full setup Quote

cheddatom Posted October 14, 2022 Author Posted October 14, 2022 I've been giving him plenty of abuse about it. He reckons he's never broken a string before but that's no excuse is it? Anyway, we're on the way to a shop in hamburg now Quote
PaulThePlug Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 ...anyone know the German for Stings?.. Quote
Grimalkin Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Do what McCartney used to do back in the days, snip one out of the club piano. Quote

Grimalkin Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 He could have played the gig with three strings, but then you should expect a few sauerkrauts. Quote
mr4stringz Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 (edited) Suggest also seeing if the shop has one of those McCartney ‘Bassman’ stickers. If so, stick it on his bass and add a question mark at the end. 😬😬😬 Edited October 14, 2022 by mr4stringz Quote
hiram.k.hackenbacker Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Does he know what the metal line things are on the long piece of wood sticking out from the bit with the knobs on? 😂 1 Quote
PaulThePlug Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Don't Fret... It's only a string... Quote
Grimalkin Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 "Which string are you needing?" "It's the second thinnest one." Quote
