BassAdder60
Any owners of the CTM100 Ashdown head can vouch for how loud it will go using a decent 4ohm cab ? Interested if it will work in small to medium pub venues with or without PA support playing rock ?
Bolo
What cab? A 810: yes. 410: yes. 212: probably. 210 unlikely. Single speaker: never. Edited October 24, 2022 by Bolo
BassAdder60
Two ABM210H cabs or my SVT212AV cab
VTypeV4
The 4 ohm thing won't make any difference - if it's designed properly (and I'm sure it will be) then it'll make it's rated power at 2, 4 or 8 ohms.. 😃 I don't play in a rock band but I expect the CTM would have enough power through the cab(s) you mention - my slightly anemic Fender Bassman 135 is giggable with it's JBL loaded 2x15 and would think the CTM is more ballsy than my old Fender..
BassAdder60
Ok I can personally state it’s a loud amp ( purchased one this week ) Running it with two 210 cabs it’s loud enough for my rock covers band Naturally it’s pushing it but that’s the beauty of valve amps in as much as they sound better cranked So if sitting on the fence I recommend it as a great amp ( best Ive played through )
