Dummy Amps for music video

Does anyone know where I can rent dummy guitar/bass amps for a music video? 

 

Based in Milton Keynes and video shoot is in Uxbridge.

isn't it easier to use, er, normal amps and cabs and not switch them on?

Marshall... might have sections of the fake wall for hire... from the looks they are about 6" thick but full height stacks!

We run silent stages so don't own any amps. Normal ones are fine but the rental companies are too far away.

In that case it's fine for you to do the chicken roaster/ washing drying machine/ fridge type of backline.

 

They did one on NZ Idol that was cardboard boxes painted black and lit from inside or might have just been cards with 8x10 etc holes and backlit screens.

 

Go wild. It will be more interesting than a bunch of real cabs.

 

You could make quite a wall of doom in cardboard that stores flat and slots together.

I know. The guitarist in my last band was a huge Rush fan, and we had to agree to differ. It is not genre-specific. I like what is loosely called Prog Rock. Of course, it also means anything endorsed by "The Great Man" is out of bounds for me. It may be irrational, but there you go. Maybe I should start a ban Jaco campaign and get banned from Basschat?😀

It works for their material. He's no slouch. I saw a video of him playing 'Roundabout' with 'Yes'. Not everyone can play like Chris did. Geddy nailed it, including the tone.
