lownote
I'm not sure anyone can help really, but I'm looking for any tips on slapping a Cort A6 with 16mm string spacing. I'm finding it real hard to cleanly hit on the target string with the others so close. Narrower thumbs?
itu
Wider neck. 17.5 was too tight for me. Practically I have left slapping to the 90's. I should concentrate on playing less i.e. the right notes only.
velvetkevorkian
Make sure your thumb is parallel with the string - might take some getting used to if you're not used to that position though.
Newfoundfreedom
I'd struggle to slap the string spacing on a diddley bow. 😆
clarket2
The double thumb technique might be more forgiving in that context? Just a thought but slapping through and resting on the string below might be more reliable. 16mm is always going to be tricky though
Grimalkin
Take two strings off and spread the rest out. 18mm is the least I would want, I've found it depends on your physicality, I have fairly long fingers. Anything less than 18mm feels too cramped. I've owned and sold three Stingray5's over the years because of the tighter string spacing, it's not going to work for me.
