Hello all. I've just used Scotchbrite pads to remove the gloss finish on my Starfire bass. I'm very pleased with how it's looking, but am not sure if I should be rubbing some MusicNomad Guitar Detailer or similar into the body as a layer of protection. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve just taken the shine off, and tried not to overdo it. The only picture I have on my phone is below, but I can take some better ones tonight.

The wood has enough of a finish as a protective layer...

Furniture Type Wax... I use Rust-o-lium

Prolly give a satin sheen rather than shine with a light coat, but give a little protection.
