A new old boy!

Hi 

I’m Gary, been playing bass for about 15 months. Have been having lessons (a couple of times per month) and enjoy listening to classic soul, RNB, Jazz Funk and rare groove. 
I have 3 basses already and whilst I’ve only just started playing, I’ve always loved the instrument and I suppose learning is a bit of a bucket list thing for me.

here are a couple pics to prove my ‘gearitus’ affliction!

 

The red bass is a Mayones Jabba … only had it a couple of weeks. I also have a Mexican fender jazz bass player series.The Sadowsky is a Ltd Edition Metroline. So much lighter than the other 2.
The cab is one of those super light GR AT208’s. 

 

my investment in gear is way beyond my ability but I just love learning on great quality product and I’ve always loved the instrument. If anything isn’t sounding good … it’s definitely me!

Between Telford and Stafford, Newport? A Salopian here, in exile up int North. Welcome along and nice choice of gear. I have a Genzler 350 too, cracking little amp and I'd love to try the GR cabs. My gear also suggests I'm a good player, but my playing says otherwise!
