SteveXFR
Does anyone make a 4 string set suitable for BEAD tunings? Something like .130 - .065 would do it. I'm currently buying 5 string sets be it seems a bit wasteful buying that .045 g string that I'll never fit. Saving the planet and a few quid with one less string. SteveXFR
Should have said, round wound, standard length, nothing fancy.

Mykesbass
Or Newtone who get a lot of love on here. Will do custom sets at sensible prices. 1

MichaelDean
I had a set of those Rotosounds on a bass for a while to try out drop C. Not a fan of the feel - very rough. But I do find stainless steel tend to be a bit rougher than nickel. Strings Direct can offer a few alternatives though. https://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/strings-c1/string-sets-c865/bass-guitar-c34#t1355:t944:t1385
mr4stringz
Moved over to these from Rotosounds a good while back. Much prefer them.

I tried out a set and they're entirely adequate. Nothing fancy but they get the job done and sound fine. I do want to avoid the waste of buying 5 string sets though. Saving the planet one g string at a time.
