peted Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Hi BassChat, Although I've done my own setups the last few times, I'm seriously considering getting a professional in. The closest person to me as I'm in Chelmsford seems to be Mike of Zoot Bass fame. My guitarist uses him for his setups and thinks he's the nuts, but I would like to know if anyone here has any experience of his services from a bass perspective. Would you recommend, or avoid? Please don't make this too personal, just a quick +1 or -1 will help me make my decision. Thanks in advance. Quote
Kiwi Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 I believe he still owes for advertising on Bassworld. Quote

whynot Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Did a fantastic job on a bass of mine, refret etc. Only drawback is turnaround time so may have to chase him to complete the job, otherwise nothing negative to say. Quote
peted Posted April 22, 2009 Author Posted April 22, 2009 I've heard some problems with turnaround and availability elsewhere too. I'm hoping that won't be an issue as he's only down the road from me. My band are rehearsing at a studio next to his workshop next week, which he also runs, so hopefully I can speak to him then and try to make my own judgement. Thanks for all your help Quote
