Fender Japan Hybrid 2

Have just seen these on Anderton's YT.......

So it seems they're like the Japanese vintage reissue line ups, but with a different neck profile, satin neck and a centre block under the bridge? They sound like a P and J should, so all good there and the the workmanship will be up there. The thing I'm most excited about is the fact Fender have moved the truss rod adjustment to the top of the neck rather than at the heel. I know they're vintage reissues and true to the older models, but it really bugs me that the truss rod adjustment is at the heel and I have to remove the neck when tinkering on my MIJ PBass.

 

I'm half looking for a maple necked PBass and might give these a go just to see what they're like. They seem a wee bit pricey at £1300 though.

They do look nice. Price although high, well Fender Japan models generally priced inbetween US & MIM so about right I suppose.

True, I don't think they're extortionately over priced, maybe just a couple of hundred out. 

 

I wonder what they're like compared to the US range.

Pfff, who still buys hybrids these days? Fender are way behind AGAIN (or still). Mine are fully electric!
