Josh
Recently acquired this beaut from Garbev and I can honestly say that Mark Siggery has made an astonishing bass, for less than half the price of a Sadowsky M24 as well. Gary had originally snapped it up when it was on Ebay, when it use to look like this: But he then took out the Bart pre-amp and had it sent back to Mark who installed a Series/Parallel switch for each pick up, and now it looks like this: It's pretty criminal that many guys on here haven't heard of Mark Siggery, Mark's stuff just looks so professional, check his site here.

What sort of price is 'half the cost of a Sadowsky M24'?
Well to get one made to the exact specs would cost around £1200-£1400, whereas you'll be lucky to find a Metro Ultra-Vintage or Modern Vintage for that price second hand, let alone a secondhand NYC M24 which would be about £2000+ secondhand. Having previously owned the blue NYC Sadowsky which is currently up for sale, I can happily say it pretty much beats it for both playability and tone. OutToPlayJazz
That looks really nice, Josh - Surprisingly like an M5-24!
7string
Another UK luthier to add to the list There's always a market for quality P's, J's vintage or modern. Another alternative to the big F which is never a bad thing.

Rayman
Very very nice bass. I'm into these smaller luthiers, that looks like a quality job to me.

You're obviously a connoisseur. Can't help with the recording problem I'm afraid, haven't used my Mac for that yet. Got a little gadget called an iMic that plugs into to a usb port and has a 3.5mm jack the other end, but as I say haven't done anything with it. You may have already done so but you could always try the support pages on the Apple website if you've got a few years to waste trying to find something relevant to what you are looking for. Real nice bass, the tuners look a bit weird on the back imo but i guess it's worth it for the balance and that.
