Roger2611
My current favourite of theirs is Pictures of You which has a really nice bass guitar sound in the mix
Maude
Lovely prominent bass in this live mix of Grinding Halt from an early show. Also some good shots of Robert Smiths Woolworths Top Twenty pickup fitted to his Fender Jazzmaster.
Mykesbass
Enjoying The Head on the Door. Disintegration sounds good, but wasn't what I was expecting, so will go back to it later. Thanks for the input so far.
Dankology
The headline set from Glastonbury a couple of years ago is not a bad overview. The radio broadcast was all over the Internet at the time. Happy to upload it somewhere if anyone needs it.

paul_5
I always find that live albums are the best way to discover what a band is capable of. Good suggestion.
gt4ever
I’ll buck the trend and say ‘mixed up’ is played the most in my house. The forest mix is just sublime, maybe I just smoke too much 😬
YouMa
There vinyl is rocketing I bought 3 imaginary boys for 2 quid in 2005 and just sold it for 25 quid.
diskwave
Grew up with Bowie, Zeps, and all that peachy 70's cool...then in 1980 I heard 'A Forest' at a disco...and was blown away by the dark repetitive but soooo musical monotony.....still blows me away even now, especially when they do it live. Some of their later singles lost that coolness.
Nothingman
I just love making playlists. I could playlist my life.(Despite popular belief, I do not have too much time in my hands) So. About a month or 2 ago I decided to create ‘Top 5’ playlists for my favourite bands: - The Cure - Death Cab For Cutie - Pearl Jam - Band Of Horses - Frightened Rabbit as there were a few people asking me about finding an entry point into certain artists. I took MY favourite 5 songs from each album in the back catalogue and put them into playlists. I may edit down to 3… However, you can check the Cure one here 👇 and see if anything grabs you by the short and curlies. FYI latest Cure album isn’t on there yet as I’m still deliberating…

The Cure are quite diverse, Disintegration and before is generally quite downbeat and morose, the albums after Disintegration are more upbeat and poppy, personally I like there earlier, gloomier stuff.
