Hi there. I'm new, and I don't have a bass yet. I'm looking for a nice fender.

I have played guitar for years but the bass is always what I notice in songs.

I like jazz, but my favourite music is rock and metal.

My favourite bassists are;

Justin Chancellor
Geddy Lee

Big fan of Geddy Lee. Never even heard Chancellor but I hear a lot of talk about him so I'll have to check him out.

Despite the fact that he doesn't do that much flashy stuff, I think his playing always complements the music perfectly. I'm listening and thinking the first song I attempt to learn will be something from damnation.

I'm actually listening to "Damnation" as I type this. Opeth are one of the best bands I've heard for years.
"Watershed" will be on the ipod next......
