funkydoug
Zoom have launched the G2 four, and G2 Four X. Looks like it is based on the G1 Four with more foot switches, USB interface and a new housing. I await the release of the B2 Four … Edited December 22, 2022 by funkydoug

I await the release of the B2 Four … From a quick review of the spec it seems to be a significant step up in processing power/memory from the G1 Four (and by implication the B1-4) e.g. can have up to 7 FX in the signal chain vs 5 for G1-4, 300 vs 50 memory patches, 80s vs 30s looper. But also nearly 3x the price. Edited December 21, 2022 by Al Krow
funkydoug
Yeah, same idea and probably same sounds but ‘more’ in most regards. I can see people still preferring the G1 in some ways but it looks like a welcome middle ground between the G1 and G6. A B2 four would be great. CJPJ
I wish they'd go for a slighlt less carbon/stealth styling on their casing - I just think it looks a less like a pro-tool and more gimicky as a result.

Machines
I have a B3n and bought a B6 to try, not enough added features for the cost so returned the B6. If this comes out at a decent price (£200ish) it's possible i'd upgrade.

I have the B6 and it looks lovely. Maybe they're better in the flesh 🤷♂️

I'm actually considering trying it again as I want something with a drum machine in it for practice

I use mine for practice, too. Will save you a few quid compared to the B6.

Were I to try this again, ideally I’d use it stand alone so would consider dropping the Cali76 CB.

From the simple one button squasher to the more complex multi control style. I think they work very well but I've never used the Cali so can't compare.
funkydoug
The easiest thing for Zoom to do would be to do what they’ve now done with the G11 and just make all the bass effects available for this… no need for a new product just an update. That would do it for me anyway.
fleabag
But where's the Envelope Filter / Wah ?
Al Krow
I think the G2 FourX is going head to head with the Nux MG 30. Not convinced it's going to trump it though.
